DREAMCATCHER HOSTEL, Golden

Dreamcatcher Hostel provides private rooms and dormitories. Private family rooms feature two sets of bunk beds: one single over double and one single over single, plus an en-suite bathroom. Private rooms include a single over double bunk bed and a private en-suite bathroom. Private rooms on the top floor offer a queen bed (Moose room), a single bed (Cougar room), or a single over double bunk and a single over single bunk (Grizzly room). These rooms share a bathroom in the hallway. Six-bed dorm rooms have shared bathrooms, privacy curtains, bedside lights and outlets, and lockers. Guests must bring their own lock. A double room offers air conditioning and heating, along with a shared bathroom with a shower. A single room features air conditioning, heating, and a shared bathroom with a shower. Some rooms feature an en suite bathroom.

Guests can use a common area with a kitchen, a seating area with a fireplace, and a dining area. Big Bend Cafe is attached to the hostel and serves large breakfasts and lunches. The Wolf's Den sports bar is also nearby, serving homemade food and burgers. Other options include Bacchus Books (offering a café upstairs), Nagomi Sushi, Eleven22 (fusion menu), and The Island (log building with a deck over the Kicking Horse River). The Eagles Eye offers dining at the highest restaurant in North America.

The hostel offers storage for bikes and skis. Guests can rent kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards at Columbia Wetlands Adventures, a 15-minute drive. Activities include mountain biking, rafting on the Kicking Horse River, disc golf, skydiving, and paragliding from Mount 7. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, a 15-minute drive, offers downhill mountain biking, a Via Ferrata, and ridge-top hikes. Cross country skiing in Golden BC offers groomed classic and skate cross country ski trails. Snowmobiling in Golden provides 240km of groomed trails.

Dreamcatcher Hostel is located at the end of Golden's Main Street. It is a 30-minute drive from Yoho National Park and 57 km from Glacier National Park. The Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge is 0.3 km away. Other landmarks nearby include Darkside Snow Skate Life, Art Gallery Of Golden-Kicking Horse Culture, Mummery Glacier Lake, Gorman Lake, Moon River Gift Gallery, Art Gallery of Golden, Kicking Horse River, and Art Rush Gallery.

Free WiFi is available throughout the hostel. Golden Shuttle runs a daily shuttle between Golden and Calgary Airport, as well as a frequent shuttle between Golden and Kicking Horse Resort. Rider Express stops in Golden, with the bus stop located up along Hwy 1, a 10-minute walk from the hostel. Guests can also use Poparide to find a ride. The hostel does not accept pets in the guest rooms but the dog sometimes hangs out in the common area. Minimum age to stay in a dorm is 19 if traveling alone, 12 if traveling with a parent.
